Here are some views from other young people about what banking is. What do you think?
Do you have a bank account?
I do have my own bank account but I hardly ever use it because I never actually have enough to put in, I always spend it, so normally I just keep all my money in my pocket.
I do have a bank account, but I don't have control of it, my mum has control of it, it's used for savings, for stuff like when I get to college or uni.
I use the current account just for everyday use of money and then use the savings account for saving up for university and a car and things like that.
Why do we need financial providers?
Well, I need a bank account because I have a paper round and my money gets paid into my bank account.
I think you need banks to like save your money and store it 'cause it's like not safe in your house.
Just to help manage our finances, you know, make it a bit more simple for us, we can use it, banking digitally now, which I think the banks have had a great hand in doing.
It will help children like save more money for what they really want.
I think it's important because it helps people look after their money 'cause it keeps you - helps you to save for things for that are really important in life and that you need to live and to be happy.
How do you get your money?
I normally just get it from my parents actually, [laughs].
Sometimes I get my money from my mum and sometimes I get it from my dad.
I get it from my mum, like she goes and takes it out for me.
I get money from my dad, [laughs], like if I need something I'll know exactly how much I'll need then I'll ask my dad for it.
My mum gives me all the money I need, well, to a certain extent.
I get pocket money at the start of the month and that's to last me through the month, but I don't get anything else.
I don't get pocket money, but for Christmas and birthdays I normally get some money and then I put about half of it in the savings account and then keep the rest to spend.
I get my money through my paper round as my job and I also get pocket money.
How do you spend your money?
I usually spend my money on stupid stuff like sweets.
Things to play with or games and stuff.
To be quite honest, I normally spend my money on lip gloss and sort of things like that, so, you know.
I don't really spend my money, I just really save it.
Mostly clothes and going out and I don't really save a lot although I know I should really.
Well, sometimes when I'm going out with friends, I just get a bite to eat or something, but normally it's on clothes and just little things I fancy.
I'm actually really difficult to spend money, I don't like spending money a lot at all, but when I do spend my money it's usually on going out, buying food, you know, having a meal out or whatever.
