Who do young people think can lend money? What are the implications? What do you think?
Would you lend money to a friend or family member?
I would definitely lend to a family member or friend if I could trust them and only if they would pay me back.
Definitely because if I was ever in the situation they were in, I'm sure they would lend me some, so I would really want to do the same for them.
I would only lend as much as I can afford to lose.
I would lend to family and friends if they were financially secure, but if they weren't then I'd probably be a bit more cautious about it.
Yeah, I'd make sure I could trust them to be able to pay it back and if they didn't, I think I'd keep on hassling them a bit to pay it back.
I'd try to avoid it, I'm quite - I chase up people when I do lend them money, I've chased up my friend for a pound before.
What would you want to know before signing for a loan?
If I was going to sign for a loan, I would look for how much interest you have to pay.
Definitely the interest, what percentage of interest I'd have to give back and how long I'd have to pay it back.
Probably look at the charges you would pay, the interest rate.
I wouldn't sign anything unless I read like the fine print before.
How could your credit rating affect your chances of borrowing money?
Your credit rating's important, you know the banks will take a look at you and they'll see if there's been records of you not paying back money before and especially in these financial times, I think banks are going to be a lot more cautious in lending money, so having a good credit rating is really helpful if you do decide to take out a loan.
How do you feel about paying interest on a loan or credit card?
I don't think it's the best of things, but it's how the banks work, so I think we just have to accept it.
I can't expect to borrow money and not have to pay anything back.
For the person who's borrowing the money, maybe it's not so great, that's why I'd always stress that you need to be careful before taking out a loan and make sure that you know everything.
